And then there's this one. Keith and I had a meeting scheduled one day with another department head (who shall remain nameless here).
Keith, however, called out sick that day.
I told the other manager (OK, let's call him "Chase," just for fun), who replied, "Keith's sick? Nothing minor, I hope."

Okay, I've read several of your posts. Entertaining, humorous and well-written. However, my overwhelming thought is "Thank God for Keith McKinney or you might be writing about others of us."
